Alexandra Leonard is an explorer and excavator of the ways creativity and connection manifests in the realms we live. With a meandering path to community engaged artmaking – from neighborhood organizing and student-community engaged projects at her alma mater, Kalamazoo College, and abroad in Nairobi, Kenya, to a career as a financial advisor, and creating a 200-section mobile ceramic sculpture at ArtPrize 2018, to pivoting to the trades and becoming a tile setting apprentice, while infusing creative approaches to food within the hospitality industry and her agricultural upbringing – her well-rounded, ever-curious approach is encompassed by how we can live more curious, connected and creative lives.
