Rawley is a dedicated public servant with deep roots in the Lansing area, having lived in the greater region for over a decade. His journey in community development and public service began at Michigan State University's James Madison College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Relations & Policy. After graduating, he worked for the Ingham County Land Bank as the Property Disposition & Community Relations Manager, gaining valuable experience in real estate and community outreach.
Rawley's commitment to public service continued when he became a legislative aide for the Michigan House of Representatives, where he further honed his skills in policy and governance. His involvement with the Capital Area Housing Partnership (CAHP) started in 2014 as a board member, and by 2018, he had transitioned to a leadership role as the organization’s executive director. Under his leadership, CAHP has made significant contributions to community and economic development, investing over $100 million across mid-Michigan. A particularly impactful chapter of Rawley's career came during the COVID-19 pandemic when he spearheaded the distribution of more than $45 million in relief assistance, directly aiding over 15,000 residents in mid-Michigan. This effort underscores his passion for helping people and improving their lives, a commitment that continues to drive his work. Rawley is also actively engaged in regional leadership roles, serving as a member of the board directors for the Ingham County Continuum of Care, Ingham County Land Bank, Lansing Entertainment & Public Facilities Authority, and the Lansing Economic Development Corporation. His dedication to community development and public service reflects a lifelong commitment to building stronger, more resilient communities in mid-Michigan. |
