Alexis Rosado is an author, spoken word poet, and founder of "Brave Space" a nonprofit that is committed to improving the lives of students who battle suicide ideation, self harming and mental health by creating a Brave Space for vulnerability and conversations. Alexis Rosado’s mission is to inspire, encourage and motivate others to bravely go after their dreams.

Alexis graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a BAS in Broadcast Journalism. During her time at the University, she studied marketing, interned with NBC Chicago and was the commencement speaker of her graduating class. In 2015 she moved to Lansing as a television reporter for WLNS 6 News, then worked as an on air personality and sales executive for Power 96.5. In December of 2017 she started Vision Success Marketing, a media company with the goal of helping business owners & creatives’ visions become a success using art.

She believes that art is a form of expression that can change the world. She hosts multiple open mics, hosts the "Relationship Reflections Podcast" and published her first book “The Mountain Climber”. Alexis Rosado hosted the Lansing Creative Placemaking Summit in 2021.
