WHERE YOU AT
Taken from: Ozay Moore “In The Wake Of O”
James Gardin & Ozay Moore
I was always taught, think global act local, and these vocals travel the globe daily/
And It's crazy, but maybe i barely been in the place that helped raise me/
And My roots are deep in the soil, that helped be grow up beautifully/
And That's why i stay plugged in and I always contribute to my community/
Plant seeds at home while i cross pollinate, i know i’ll be back home soon/
Hopefully you'll be in town to be able to see, some of yawl go bloom/
It ain't where you from it's where you at and i ain't talking bout a place on the map/
Wherever you are, whoever you are, cuz what you about is why you're at where your at
See it can open your world/ (Where you at?)
Yeah,
see it can open your world (where you at?)
The grass is greener where you water it, mess around, have a manicured lawn and some gardening/
The other sides different once you walk on it, noticing the weeds and the flaws in it, understand time is the cause of it/
Cuz everything decays over time “Entropy” used to keep it fresh by hitting the road consistently/
Now where i invest is local so front me a ticket G i’ll be back in a week to pound the pavement that's a Guarantee/
Whether you’re born here or brought here, generations deep or followed moms and pops here. Where you at? both question and commission speaking directly to A common vision. Being where I live needs to mean more than a practical decision but where I’m living, where I’m growing, where I am engaging, where I am connecting, where I am contributing, where I’m selling, where I’m embracing, where I’m buying and where I am raising the bar high, the kids well, the city up, looking back like “where them days went where I was trying to find a reason to stay?” It’s, greener where you water it, and were all splitting the bill like the benefits are real and we all have a part in it.
