Dominic Cochran

Dominic is the Founding Director of the Lansing Public Media Center and Co-Founder/Co-Director of the Capital City Film Festival.

​With over 24 years of cinematography experience, he is also a founding member of Ahptic Film & Digital. Upon leaving the film program at Lansing Community College, he filmed numerous independent feature films. He filmed all Detroit-area footage for MTV’s BioRythm documentary for superstar Eminem, and was Director of Photography for Nelly Furtado’s number one music video “Do It.” He served as a producer of the Miley Cyrus video “Who Owns My Heart,” which has over 200 million views. He served as second-unit Director of Photography for the New York film M.V.P., official selection of the 2003 Sundance Film Festival, and for Answer This!, starring Chris Parnell of SNL fame and also served as Camera Operator for the feature film Cherry, an official selection of the 2010 South by Southwest Film Festival. He sat on the Michigan State University’s Film and Media Arts Initiative council, Lansing Community College’s media advisory board and Capital Area Career Center’s program advisory committee and is a Past-President of the 64th District of America’s Ad Club chapter(Mid-Michigan Creative Alliance).
