Lolo Robison has served as Capital Area Transportation Authority’s chief marketing and public information officer since July 2011. In March 2018, oversight of the Customer Experience Department was added to her duties. Robison co-chairs CATA's Diversity Equity & Inclusion Task Force with a focus on strategy; she helps oversee Task Force subcommittees.
Robison earned a master’s degree in public relations from Michigan State University, College of Communication Arts & Sciences. She graduated cum laude from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in administration. Robison joined the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce's inaugural Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Executive Roundtable in March 2022. Since March 2022 she has actively contributed to and engaged in dialog with regional and statewide DEI chiefs. In May 2022 Robison received a Diversity & Inclusion Certificate from Cornell University. Robison’s diverse work experience in executive leadership dates to 1992 and includes insurance brokerage marketing, a variety of roles in higher education, for-profit banking and non-profit credit union management, niche marketing and custom publications, K-12 and higher-education teaching, and association management. She is dedicated to public service. Robison has been a member of the Public Relations Society of America and Central Michigan PRSA since May 2009. Since July 2011 she has served on APTA’s Legislative Committee, Marketing & Communications Committee as well as its Public Information Officer, Social Media and Advertising Revenue task forces. She participated in the American Public Transportation Association Class of 2017 Leadership Program, and guided CATA to an APTA AdWheel Grand Award in October 2014. Robison has represented public transit and local artists on the Arts Council of Greater Lansing Board of Directors since September 2018; she was nominated Board President in October 2021. She currently serves on the Council's Executive, Board Development, Creative Placemaking Summit Steering and Cultural Economic Development Planning committees. Robison has represented CATA on the Lansing Board of Water & Light General Manager's Roundtable since February 2019, and the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce Business Roundtable since June 2019. She has been a member of the Lansing Rotary Club since June 2019 and has served on its board of directors since July 2021, as well as its audit and public relations committees. Robison has been a member of the Lansing Community College Foundation Board of Directors since August 2021. In September 2022, she was nominated to chair the Michigan Public Transit Association's Communications Committee. Robison is a professor of practice at Michigan State University in the College of Communications Arts & Sciences. |
