Placemaking at LCC: Where Students & the Community Want to Be
Albert Einstein once said, “I never try to teach my students anything, I only try to create an environment in which they can learn.” This presentation explores placemaking through artwork, sculptures, technology and ambient learning on a community college campus. Student-centered spaces, graphically designed walls, portraits of distinguished figures past and present and expertly planned buildings, detailed design, and landscapes provide students, faculty, staff and the community with opportunities for belonging, knowledge and growth on a daily basis. You will gain a better understanding of how place making is accomplished through LCC’s dedication to creating dynamic and inclusive environments for all people.
