Steph Joy Hogan is an award-winning mixed-media painter, explorer of unknown universes and Lansing native. Inspired by children’s imaginations, and working with acrylic paint, ink, and discarded print materials, Steph creates skyscapes filled with iconic planets and moons and portraits of the whimsical creatures that inhabit them. Steph’s recognizably joyful artwork has been featured in several local galleries and exhibitions and her painting, “Lion” appeared on a 2019 Art in the Sky billboard. Her artwork is also permanently showcased within Impression 5 Science Center, The Susan and Jack Davis Nature Pavilion at Fenner Nature Center, and The Davies Project headquarters.
