The Arts Council of Greater Lansing is pleased to announce that Creative Placemaking Summit 6 will be going virtual (+some surprises) this year on Oct. 14, 2020!
Our world is going through some big changes, and they are making life interesting and unpredictable for everyone! None of us know what is going to happen from one day to the next, so try and stay ahead of the game, we are rolling out our 2020 Summit in a new format that will keep everyone safe, but still be jam-packed full of engaging and fun content.
This year's theme is “Connection,” which is taking on such new meaning in these times of social distancing and quarantine. As we pondered the idea of connection in a COVID/POST_COVID world, we found ourselves asking these questions:
How do we connect with each other and the community?
How can we continue to do creative placemaking?
How do we define "place" in a virtual setting?
And...What are the things that connect us? What are the ties that weave us together as a region and a community that has creativity beating in its heart?
We hope to explore these and a whole lot more on Oct. 14, 2020, and we sincerely hope that you will be right there with us as we do.
Check out our save-the-date announcement, and while you are there, sign up to receive updates about sponsorship, speakers and performances and see how our virtual schedule unfolds.
We are excited. These times are somewhat precarious, but they are full of opportunity as well, and we look forward to seeing what the future will bring for Greater Lansing.
Don’t let this pass you buy! Make sure to save the date!
